HMSHost in the United Arab Emirates
Dubai International Airport, with over 50 million passengers in 2011, is 4th in the world airport ranking for international passenger traffic. Considered the Middle East’s main hub, it is served by over 150 airlines linking the Emirate to more than 220 destinations worldwide. HMSHost International opened its first restaurants in 2012. Responding to the mix of international travellers, HMSHost now operates a broad restaurant portfolio with Taste of India, the Mediterranean-inspired Olive & Fig, and Japanese restaurant Umaizushi. In 2014, HMSHost expanded its presence in the United Arab Emirates with a new contract at Abu Dhabi International Airport with six points-of-sale, a mixture of concepts from its own portfolio and international brands. The recently-opened Café Chocolat and Masale are just two such examples.
