HMSHost created a joint venture with Umoe Restaurants, Norway’s largest F&B company, to develop and operate F&B restaurants at Norwegian Airports. This new company recently won concessions for Oslo and Bergen. We also designed a new culinary benchmark for airports for meeting traveller’s needs; a formula that includes a variety of international flavours while showcasing the culinary creativity of Norway. Via the F&B venues, the company translates Norway’s zest for life and its tradition of vertskap (hosting travellers) into culinary journeys of discovery, conviviality and fun. Examples include Bølgen & Moi Food Garage, created by one of Norway’s most famous and respected chefs, Trond Moi; the first foray into Norway for Wagamama; and Fiskeriet, a restaurant with a long history in the country whose concept is synonymous with sustainable seafood and quality.
