HMSHost wins Schiphol Business Awards
Schiphol, 8 February 2019 - HMSHost International has won the Connection Award and Innovation Award. Two important Business Awards that Amsterdam Airport Schiphol awards to partners who have delivered an exceptional performance.
This year a new category was introduced by Schiphol Group; the Connection Award for the employee who makes the difference every day and offers travellers a great experience at Schiphol. The first edition of this prize was awarded to Adda Amrani, employee at Café Cocó. In the midst of all his colleagues, he received this award because of his guest friendliness, his positively visible presence and his exemplary role for other colleagues. This shows that creating places and situations where attentiveness is key, are of great importance in the hustle and bustle of an airport. It’s our job to create a peaceful, comfortable atmosphere. And that can only be done by giving our customers the attention they deserve.
HMSHost International received the Sustainability Award 2018 for the sustainable strategy it is following. Examples of sustainable initiatives that have been praised by Schiphol are the recycling process of PET bottles with which company clothing is made, the investment in a sustainable chicken farm and the purchase of sustainable salmon.
