Food court Oslo houses three great brands including the first wagamama in Norway

HMSHost-Umoe, the joint venture between HMSHost International and Umoe Restaurants that operates food and beverages on five op Norway’s largest airports, opens in June 2018 three concepts at Oslo Airport; the debut of wagamama in Norway, the popular Burger King and the Norwegian hero La Baguette.

wagamama, the leading international pan Asian-style restaurant business, is to open the doors to its first restaurant in Norway with 210 seats. Travellers can enjoy a fresh, Japanese-inspired menu, including wagamama's signature ramen; bowls of fragrant soup filled with noodles plus meat or vegetables. Spice enthusiasts can enjoy the much-loved prawn firecracker, and the tofu chilli salad offers vegetarians a fresh and crunchy treat. wagamama’s broad menu also includes a specific menu of vegan dishes, a first for the F&B offer in the airport.

The king of flame-grilled burgers really does not need any introduction and continues to offer classic Whopper, crispy onion rings and all the other dishes that have made Burger King a king. In Norway, Burger King is a very popular chain and has been highly desired as part of the food offer at Oslo Airport. This concept will be able to meet the needs of the travelers regardless of the size of the travel budget and will appeal to everything from staff at the airport, families on holiday trips to travelers who need a quick, good and affordable bite on the go on their way home.

Freshly baked baguettes and delicious salads have made La Baguette a winner for busy travellers. La Baguette was first in the Norwegian market with fresh freshly baked baguettes, just as the guests wanted. La Baguette is a contemporary eatery with affordable and healthy dishes, and Norway's leading ‘fresh-food’ chain.

Walter Seib, CEO of HMSHost International: “It seems only yesterday that we announced the start-up of a new company in Norway, a joint venture with Norways leading food and beverage company Umoe Restaurants in 2015. However in the meantime we opened seven new concepts at Oslo Airport and the opening of the food court is the last phase of this ambitious project. Today we offer at this newly developed airport a great mix of international favourites and popular local dishes.”

“The openings of the food court will make a welcoming contribution to the great food offer we now have at Oslo Airport. wagamama is an internationally recognized Asian fusion chain that we think will be very popular. This is the first wagamama in Norway and we are happy that they choose Oslo Airport as their first location. Burger King will also open their first restaurant at a Norwegian airport and together with the newly refurbished La Baguette, we have a combination of food offers we are very proud of”, says Commercial Director at Avinor, Per-Rune Lunderby.
