1720 m2 Food Village at Dubai International (DXB) is opening soon

Dubai International (DXB), the world’s busiest international airport with some 89m customers travelling through each year, will soon be home to 14 new restaurants and bars by HMSHost International – a welcome addition for the many travellers. A global market leader in the food and hospitality industry for people on the move, HMSHost International is supporting the ongoing evolution of DXB with these exciting new openings.

Brand new to the airports Concourse C (Terminal 3), the Food Village, will soon open and will feature strong international brands such as KFC, American Chinese Restaurant Panda and McDonalds. The oh-so-delicious and ready-to-go wraps of Qfta will appeal to the needs of local customers, while Taste of India will bring the bustle of Indian street food culture to Dubai International. For flat breads, tarts and other sweets, Flour & Stone will be the place to go, and the Food Village is further complemented with Pop-top for exquisite home-made gelato and Italian coffee, a bar as well as food-cart style mobile outlets to serve the peaks.

The proven success brand, Jones the Grocer Express, will open a beautifully designed branch of the ever-popular Aussie dining and food retailer. This new location will feature Jones the Grocer’s award-winning all-day café menu as well as a selection of artisan cheese and charcuterie boards to complement their carefully selected house beverages. Passengers will be able to discover a sumptuous Jones traditional English breakfast, an ultimate Mr. Jones wagyu burger, signature salads, hearty sandwiches, mouth-watering pastries and plenty more to feed wandering souls. Rushed last minute travellers will be able to select a quick delicious treat from their gorgeously decked out ‘grab and go’ food counter. Meanwhile, the ultimate taste of India can be found at Roti Bhai, where Indian street wraps are made fresh daily and packaged ready for immediate take away, perfect for passengers in transit.

In Terminal 3, Concourse A, HMSHost recently opened three new outlets across a total of 603 m2. The opening of Comptoir Libanais marks chain’s first store outside of Europe. The store will bring guests the taste of Lebanese cuisine and warm Middle-Eastern hospitality, with menu also available in a grab & go format. The finest Italian wines and craft beers are served at Bottega Prosecco Bar and Craft Beer, while an additional Jones the Grocer Express store opened in this concourse. All items are made fresh daily and packaged ready for immediate take away, perfect for passengers that are about to catch their flights.

Since 2012 HMSHost International has partnered with the operator Dubai Airports, on a wide range of different food & beverage locations since that time. Walter Seib, CEO of HMSHost International, is grateful that Dubai Airports has chosen to expand on their partnership: ”It’s a great achievement for us that we are rewarded for our concept offer, marketing strategy and operational excellence. We are proud of the cooperation, the trust and the performance of our partnership, and are looking forward to an even longer and more successful cooperation for many years to come. Together we make our guests feel good on the move.”

Eugene Barry, Dubai Airports’ EVP Commercial commented; “Dubai Airports has enjoyed a successful partnership with HMSHost for a number of years, and our partnership has evolved as customer expectations and travel behavior has developed. The addition of these 14 new food concepts supports our strategy to not only be the world’s busiest international airport, but also the world’s best for customer experience.”
