Case Study Recycling Coca-Cola Bottles
We are constantly exploring ways to implement sustainable innovation. One example is a recycling initiative we spearheaded at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. We turned used Coca-Cola bottles – made from recyclable PET plastic – into chairs and shirts.
All the chairs at Bread! (Lounge 3) and Harvest Market (D-Concourse) were made from 111 recycled Coca-Cola bottles.
The shirts worn by our associates at GrabandFly (all concourses) and Harvest Market (D concourse) were made using 10 x 50cl Coca-Cola bottles. Each consists of 80% recycled PET and 20% cotton.
Following their successful introduction in the Netherlands, the shirts are ready to be rolled out to all GrabandFly locations worldwide, p.e. in China.
